  4.           The only files required to run the Point & Shoot Home Manager are:
  5.  
  6.                PASH.EXE   The Point & Shoot Home Manager Program.  This
  7.                file must reside on a bootable disk for floppy systems,
  8.                or it must be available in the current directory or in
  9.                the PATH if used on a hard disk.
  10.  
  11.                *.DBD      These are the database definition files used
  12.                with the databases in the Point & Shoot Home Manager.
  13.                These files must be available on the data disk for floppy
  14.                systems, or in the current directory if used on a hard
  15.                disk.

  18.           Whether using a hard disk or dual floppy disk system, you MUST
  19.           use a CONFIG.SYS file that contains the following line:
  20.  
  21.                                FILES = 20

  25.           DUAL FLOPPY DISK SYSTEMS
  26.           ------------------------
  27.  
  28.           1)  Copy PASH.EXE from the Point & Shoot Home Manager distribution
  29.               disk to a bootable floppy disk.
  30.  
  31.           2)  Copy all of the "DBD" files from the Point & Shoot Home Manager
  32.               distribution disk to a blank data disk.
  33.  
  34.           3)  Place the new bootable disk in drive A: and the data disk in
  35.               drive B:, switch to drive B: and invoke the Point & Shoot
  36.               Home Manager from drive A:
  37.  
  38.                                A> B:
  39.                                B> A:PASH
  40.  
  41.           4)  The Point & Shoot Home Manager should run.  The SETUP command
  42.               should be used immediately to set the program parameters.

  45.           HARD DISK INSTALLATION
  46.           ----------------------

  48.           If running the Point & Shoot Hard Disk Manager:
  49.  
  50.           1)  Use the FILE COPY command to copy PASH.EXE to the \P&S
  51.               directory.
  52.  
  53.           2)  Use the TREE MAKE command to create a directory to hold
  54.               the Point & Shoot Home Manager data and use the FILE COPY
  55.               command to copy all files with the ".DBD" extension to the
  56.               new data directory.
  57.  
  58.           3)  Use the MENU ADD command to add the PASH command to the
  59.               user-defined menus.  Remember to select the data directory
  60.               as the directory path.

  62.           4)  The SETUP command should be used immediately to set the
  63.               program parameters.

  67.           If not running the Point & Shoot Home Manager:
  68.  
  69.           1)  Create a new subdirectory on the hard disk for the Point &
  70.               Shoot Home Manager program and data files.
  71.  
  72.           2)  Copy all the files on the distribution disk to the newly
  73.               created directory.
  74.  
  75.           3)  The Point & Shoot Home Manager program may now be run
  76.               from the new directory by changing to that directory and
  77.               entering the following command:

  79.                                PASH
  80.  
  81.           4)  To run the Point & Shoot Home Manager from a different
  82.               directory (and to store the data files in a different
  83.               directory also) create a separate directory to hold the
  84.               Point & Shoot Home Manager data files, copy the files with
  85.               ".DBD" extension to the new directory, and add the new
  86.               directory to the PATH command in AUTOEXEC.BAT.  The Point &
  87.               Shoot Home Manager may now be executed from the data
  88.               directory by making that directory the default and entering
  89.               the PASH command.

  91.           5)  The SETUP command should be used immediately to set the
  92.               program parameters.

  98.           PRINTING THE DOCUMENTATION

  101.           To print the documentation, type the following from the DOS
  102.           prompt:

  104.                          COPY  PASHDOC.TXT  PRN:

  106.           Another option to print the documentation is to use the File
  107.           Print command found in the Point & Shoot Hard Disk Manager.
